If I Just Lay Here

I can't sleep but I'm so spent. And I don't feel like posting about Britain's birthday
...because it was draining
...and because it reminds me of how much of my savings is gone
...and that she isn't my little baby anymore.

So instead I'll leave you with Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars" lyrics in which I picture a video of Matt and I lying in the rain instead of their version (though beautiful as well)
...because I can't sleep
...because I can't stop listening to the acoustic version and the doubts in my head.
...because I need a good cry and an even better cup of Sleepytime Tea.

We'll do it all
Everything
On our own

We don't need
Anything
Or anyone

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

I don't quite know
How to say
How I feel

Those three words
Are said too much
They're not enough

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life

Let's waste time
Chasing cars
Around our heads

I need your grace
To remind me
To find my own

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life

All that I am
All that I ever was
Is here in your perfect eyes, they're all I can see

I don't know where
Confused about how as well
Just know that these things will never change for us at all

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

You did have that "party look" on your face for much of the time which was unfortunate. I hope you don't feel that way at the wedding. Let me run around and make sure no one has drunkenly fallen on the cake. And speaking of cake, where did you get that gorgeous thing? That whipped cream frosting was the best. Can you get your wedding cake from there?

Tam - I enjoyed the pictures of Britain's birthday. What a beauty!

I really like these song lyrics too - ideal for letting out your good cry.

And now I'm going to search for Snow Patrol on Rhapsody.

Kristen: Were you really that drunk? I'm being serious when I told you I got that cake at Tops 3 times. Her cake was free: it's a promotion they do for 1 year old birthdays.

Gina and ron: I'm feeling better today...probably just an imbalance of some kind. Thank you for the kind words. ron: Sorry that the only single women there were all under the age of 10. And no, you cannot have their numbers.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, the new PC parts should be coming Wednesday/Thursday, so I'll be ready to install my stuff in your PC like Friday or Saturday. The board was like $66, so I'll just say $50, and you can give me it whenever, I don't care.

I think I was that drunk. Is it acceptable to get your wedding cake at Tops? No joke, that was good mutherfucking cake.

Kristen: Monica and I got our 3 tier wedding cake at WalMart for $100, and it tasted great. Who cares where you get your cake, they don't have to know! Our whole wedding cost about $5000 or less and that's including the food and drinks.

I whole heartedly approve of a wedding cake from Tops if it tastes that good. And who can stand to pay $5-8/slice? It hurts my soul to think of it. Maybe I will get my birthday cake from Tops.

DAMNIT I messed up the rons again! Sorry Jr.

I don't get it, how'd you mess them up? I'm uppercase Ron

He is right...that cake WAS good. MMM I remember tasting it at the bridal show.

For our wedding, I'm debating on cake, cupcakes or just an array of desserts. Maybe just put out dessert wine and call it a night.

This whole "ron"-"Ron" thing is messin' me up to. LoL.

Tam, we got our three-tier cake at Giant Eagle, but ours was slightly more than Ron's, so you might want to go with WalMart if you decide to do that anyway. :)
