And I'll Karaoke If I Want To

My birthday was a blast! We started off at the Presque Isle Downs and Casino. We had a whole corner part of the buffet to ourselves. It was great...Thanks MOM!
"Dude, you're going to have to turn 30 too someday."

I think the wait staff was even more excited than I was!
"Is it MY birthday, Mom?"

Then we headed over to The French Quarter for karaoke. This was the nicest crowd you could ever meet. We just took over the bar all rude like and everyone was just happy we were there. I don't know how many birthday shots I had to secretly give away because everyone was so friendly.
We started singing and everything was going great and then technically difficulties occured because of some chick trying to use a fake credit card. They had to shut karaoke down so the managment could straighten shit out over the phone. Of course it was 3 words into my song at the time. It was my birthday and I felt I could sulk if I wanted to.
Waiting....
Then they turned it back on! We don't talk about the cake incident.

What a weekend. What a year. What a life.

30 Is The New 21

I think some people find it hard to hit the big 3-0. Why? What really is it but just another year older? So, if I don't feel old at 30, when WILL I feel old? I guess it doesn't help that I look 12, or that I'm the baby girl of the family, or that I still slide down slides or that all of my skirts are above the knee. It just always made me wonder why people get depressed about their 30th birthday.

I'm excited, especially since now I can go to Baybreeze, that 30 and over club downtown!

Brit's First Haircut

Yes, I waited almost three years to get her haircut. I guess I just couldn't let the hair that had been in my womb go until now.

A nanny since 1996, I'm tired of washing nipples that aren't mine.
